RMS Authorised Assessors
Murray , Chris and Sue are authorised assessors with the RMS.
This means we can conduct an RMS older driver assessment with you in your own car, in your own area, rather than having to go to the RMS office.
If you live in the Outer village areas, you must complete the assessment in a main town such as Mittagong, Bowral or Moss Vale.
This is due to the RMS testing rules that include traffic lights, roundabouts, busy shopping areas etc that must be incorporated into your assessment.
This option is available to all older drivers 85 years or older. This is a user pay service.
If you would like a refresher lesson, Murray, Chris or Sue can take you out to go through the road rules, assessment procedure and update your skills and knowledge for the assessment in the comfort of your own car.

- Medical assessment for fitness to drive required yearly.
- Older driver or rider test / assessment required every two years - at age 85, 87, 89, 91, 93 ........
What you will need when you call Highlands Drive Safe
- Your medical forms must be lodged first either electronically by the Doctor or handed in at Mittagong Service Centre
- Your licence card ready as we need details to do a licence check in the RMS portal to ensure your medical is lodged and you are able to have your assessment, we will need licence number and card number.
- Once your assessment is complete, Murray, Chris or Sue will enter your results in the RMS system and update your licence.
